NYC Climate Change Efforts Target City Buildings

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that New York City buildings will become more energy efficient as part of a larger initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by  80% compared to 2005 levels by 2050.

Under the plan, approximately 3,000 city-owned buildings will be targeted, including schools, firehouses, hospitals, police precincts, libraries, and homeless shelters.
